I don’t think we realize how much we shame ourselves and each other… and it’s killing us.

Today’s Burst of Energie — YouTube video here — is a near-and-dear one… about a topic that is insidious and pervasive. And we are given the opportunity at this time with the current energies to do something about it.

This is shaming yourself or another:

  • “don’t be such a baby”
  • “you’re kidding me, right?”
  • (eye roll)
  • “this behavior is beneath you”
  • “I expected more of you than this”

Understand that any of these phrases MAY be used and not necessarily be rooted in Inner Critic and Fear… the phrases themselves are not harmful as much as what is NOT being said.

What is not being said?

  • “I see you hurting. Before we unpack this any further, may I give you a hug?”
  • “I hear what you’re saying, that you’re upset and scared… and I honor you and hold space for you while you experience this.”
  • “Your actions surprise me and I am curious as to whether you’d feel comfortable talking about the situation with me… I promise to breathe with you, allow you time to feel and unpack, and to not try to ‘fix’ anything.”
  • “I’m here for you.”

Let us practice deep self-compassion so that we don’t hurt others who are already hurting enough.

This is a sentiment that I have heard many saying in this past week. How do you feel about that? Do people change? Do we have the ability to change and, if so, how?

I wonder what would happen in our relationships with each other and ourselves if we were to allow each other to unpack in the moment. Boundaries and wisdom are helpful in our relationships, but how often do we create walls rather than boundaries and lean into our wounded hearts rather than wisdom?

What if people do change? What if people can change? And what if this change begins with me? What if this change begins with you?

In this week’s Tarot Reading for the week of August 1-7, 2022 (YouTube here) we have some super good news: CHOICES. We have choices… we get to choose how we respond to situations.

Thank God, we are being led – shown signs and given clarification – as to which way to go, how to proceed… and we may rest assured that we are “on the horse of Triumph!”

We’re being encouraged to allow our heart centers to open, and to allow ourselves to abide in and live through the heart center… balancing heart and mind with body… a truly spiritual experience!

Take heart. Lots and lots and lots of BIG energies in the world and on the planet… but we are Love and we are discovering, remembering, and BEing who we are as Love and Light Beings.
