When Will I Be Healed (Finally!)

What if feeling your feelings, the disappointments and anger, the frustrations and hopelessness, emerge from within to be felt… not “healed”… and that, just by virtue of feeling your feelings, allowing them their space and time and attention, you are already healed? What if the journey of healing is just that, a journey. There is no “there” and there is no “finally done.” What if, as long as you’re human and open-hearted, feelings will emerge to be honored… and this may just be part of WHY you’re alive. Feelings are part of the human condition. What if?

On today’s Holistic Wellness With EnergieGal, our show on YouTube, we’re unpacking a deep, kinda sticky topic:

  • what does it look like to finally be healed?
  • how long does it take to be healed?
  • when can I start seeing results?
  • when can I stop feeling my feelings?
  • why do some of these emotions continue to rise up from within me and when can I expect this to finally be done already?!

I’ve been experiencing a return of some of my deepest emotions lately… and find myself among a few other deeply passionate souls… and we’ve been asking these very questions.

This is my point of view for today with the understanding that I’ve gleaned thus far. I leave open the possibility that I may change my perspective as time unpacks itself and I continue to grow in wisdom. But, for today, I wax philosophically. Thanks for your patience and for holding space for me.

Stop Anxiety Attacks

Hello Everybody and welcome to today’s Recovering With EnergieGal YouTube show. We’re unpacking five practical, hands-on practices for when you find yourself in the middle of a panic attack.

Addiction to food or alcohol or drugs or shopping or gambling or sex or social media or approval… are all symptoms of an underlying heartache. Anxiety and worry and panic attacks often happen in tandem with addiction (numbing out/dissociation) as a symptom of our disconnection with our own bodies. We’re living up in our minds where it feels safer… but takes a giant toll on the quality of our experiences.

Symptoms of a panic attack:

  • Shaking
  • Nausea
  • Dry mouth
  • Breathlessness
  • Dizziness
  • Sweating
  • Inability to fall asleep
  • Inability to stay asleep
  • Inability to get up
  • Rapid, pounding heart
  • Tightness in throat
  • Sweating

Other symptoms:

  • Loss of passion
  • Fear of loss of control
  • Overwhelm
  • Sense of impending doom or danger
  • Fear of death
  • Jumbled thoughts

Focus on what is.

BOUNDARIES = Freedom

Boundaries define us. They define what is me and what is not me. A boundary shows me where I end and someone else begins, leading me to a sense of ownership. Knowing what I am to own and take responsibility for gives me freedom.

Welcome, dear Journeyers, to our Holistic Wellness With EnergieGal YouTube show. Today, we’re unpacking BOUNDARIES. What are they, really? I mean, we say we need to have boundaries… but, practically speaking, what does this look like?

Because this has been such a big, big deal in my life as an Empath and Highly Sensitive Soul and because setting boundaries never happened in my life as a child due to abuse and trauma, the whole notion of boundaries has always befuddled me.

Yep, I know I should have boundaries.

But I have no idea what that looks like.

With that as my starting point – and the starting point of so many others – I have brainstormed a tangible way to understand boundaries. Using the metaphor of a house, we’re unpacking “our edges” as well as wrapping our arms around DISSOCIATION (leaving the body because of trauma) and PRACTICAL WAYS TO FIND YOUR OWN BOUNDARIES.

Hey, isn’t it time to COME BACK HOME to yourself, dear Soul?
